Through the power of digitalization and global collaboration, Marist students all over the world have access to many of the same resources that students at the New York campus have. In a growing global society the importance of creating networks that facilitate international information sharing has become clearer. In order to create the same atmosphere of learning and information access, Marist offers a plethora of virtual resources for their students all over the world.
ITALIAN LANGUAGE ASSISTANCE
Italian language tutoring is offered every semester by the LdM School to aid students in their language skills. Please contact the Marist-LdM office for the most up-to-date schedule of the lab.
Marist offers two options to help students with writing support:
The Marist-LdM Writing Center - Located in the Marist-LdM Admistrative office at Via del Giglio 6 provides free writing support for all students – from first-year students to graduate students – taking courses at Lorenzo de Medici Institute. Whether you are at the beginning stages of a written assignment and trying to find a focus or you are completing a major research paper and need help with documentation, The Writing Center can help you. While setting up an appointment 24 hours in advance is strongly encouraged, depending on availability and assistance needed walks-in are accepted. Please contact the Marist-LdM office for the most current Marist-LdM writing center hours.
The Marist Online Writing Center- In addition to on-site writing assistance, Marist-LdM students also have access to the Marist College writing center in their online format. Students simply schedule an appointment and log on at that time. All online appointments are conducted synchronously (live!) via Google docs and telephone. (Use your telephone speaker so your hands are free to type on your keyboard).
To make an appointment for the Online Writing Center, send your document as an email attachment in WORD format to firstname.lastname@example.org. Use the heading online tutorial in the Subject Line. In the body of the message, please include 1) your name, 2) the course Name and designation Ex. College Writing I, ENG 116) the professor's name, 4) your telephone number, and 5) the day and time you would like an online appointment. Appointments are available in one-hour sessions. See below.

Within 36 hours (excluding weekends), we will contact you via email to inform you of your appointment day and time or to negotiate a different day and time with you.
Marist-LdM offers proof reading to all students through the Marist College Academic Learning Center. Trained Proofreader will be ready and waiting to proofread a student's paper for grammar and clarity. Proof reading services are provided by the Academic Learning Center through the Marist-LdM Current Student Intranet site. Students can upload any paper under 10 pages to the site for review. Students are served on a first come, first served basis. An appointment is needed for papers that are 10 or more pages in length. ALUMNI CAREER NETWORK
Alumni Relations and the Center for Career Services present the Alumni Career Network. The Network contains hundreds of names of individuals who are willing to be contacted by fellow alumni and current students about career choices and paths. You can search the Network by occupation type, business title, business name or name of person. By entering the year of graduation or location you will narrow your search.
