Draw II: Media & Technology

Undergraduate Advanced Drawing: Media & Technology Course- Florence, Italy

ART203- Credits: 3 – Contact Hours: 45 N

The aim of the Draw II: Media & Technology course is to work toward greater personal expression and with more complex problems in drawing so as to give the work a more mature and resolved finish. Reference to the exceptional works of art inside and outside the city of Florence will be investigated and analyzed as an integral part of the course.

Draw II: Media & Technology Overview

The Draw II: Media & Technology course requires a high proficiency in figure and object drawing as well as a sound understanding of all the principles and elements of drawing. It aims to start to play with the knowledge of drawing gained through exercises that deeply explore and question thus far concepts and approaches of traditional drawing. Throughout the course students are encouraged to use a personal approach to the work by allowing for the possibility to explore individual concepts in the execution of a project.

Listed at LdM as PDM 400: Advanced Conceptual Drawing

Prerequisite: Advanced Drawing: Observation and Interpretation or equivalent.
