Florence Campus Undergraduate Scholarships and Financial Aid

Merit Scholarships

First-Year Student Scholarships

Academic-based merit scholarships are available to students who have demonstrated superior academic performance during their entire high school career. There are no set of “numbers” (GPA, class rank) that guarantee a scholarship or scholarship amount. Students who have taken a rigorous program of study during their high school career including their senior year – will be considered for these awards. The scholarship committee recalculates the student’s GPA using the core subject areas which include English, Math, History/Social Studies, Science and Foreign Language. All scholarships are renewable for four years provided students meet the necessary GPA requirements.

Merit scholarships are made at the discretion of the scholarship committee. General eligibility requirements listed do not guarantee admission or academic merit scholarship.

Students will automatically be considered for a Merit Scholarship upon acceptance to Marist’s Florence campus. No more than one merit scholarship will be awarded to each student.

All Merit Scholarships are renewable. After the first semester of the first year, eligibility is contingent upon the recipient meeting the specified 2.85 cumulative GPA requirement each semester.

Transfer Student Scholarships

Each year Marist College awards merit-based scholarships to academically-talented transfer students. The Marist College Transfer Scholarships are granted upon the recommendation of the Admissions Review Committee to transfer students who have excelled at the college(s) from which they are transferring. The scholarships are renewable annually, provided a recipient maintains a cumulative grade point average of 2.85 or better while studying on a full-time basis at Marist.

Financial aid cannot be transferred from one post-secondary institution to another during the academic year. In most cases, you must reapply for aid. If you plan to transfer:

1. Contact both the Marist Office of Student Financial Services and the Office of Student Financial Services at the institution you are currently attending for transfer policies.
2. For the Federal Pell Grant, please call FAFSA at 800-433-3243 and change your school code to 002765 for Marist College.
3. If you are receiving any Federal Direct Loans, you must cancel the loan with the school you are now attending and reapply at Marist.
4. If you are an International undergraduate student (non-US citizen) applying to Marist’s Florence campus, the CSS PROFILE should be submitted for institutional grant consideration. The CSS PROFILE can be found at student.collegeboard.org/profile, and the PROFILE code is 2400.

Financial need is not required to be eligible for merit scholarships.

Applying for Financial Aid

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) serves as the official application for need-based financial aid at Marist. 

If you are an International undergraduate student (non-US citizen) applying to Marist’s Florence campus, the CSS PROFILE should be submitted for institutional grant consideration. The CSS PROFILE can be found at student.collegeboard.org/profile, and the PROFILE code is 2400.
